May 27, 2017 I was fortunate to be in Yellowstone NP and captured a series of images of the Auroral phenomenon called "Steve". To the right of the green lights you can see the Big Dipper and at the ned of the Dipper's handle is a long Meteor.

Photography has been an interest of mine for many years and since retiring I've been able to invest more time in it. I started out taking mostly wildlife and bird images but recent trips across this wonderful country have inspired me to also take the time to do some landscape/scenic photography. A few years ago I discovered night photography, also called nightscapes. I've found this to be exciting, challenging and very rewarding and now it ranks as a passion along with wildlife photography. One of the great pleasures of photography for me is sharing the images with friends, they inspire me to do the best I can so they can enjoy the places I've been and the things I've seen.
